Born in Barbados, Jadon is a colourblind, hyperrealist and abstract artist, who specialises in the mediums, graphite, charcoal, and ink. A master of monochrome art, his love for drawing was influenced by the inability to accurately perceive colour, and inaccessibility to a variety of art mediums, on the island.
Primarily self-taught, Jadon uses graphite and charcoal pencils to create hyperrealistic drawings, which often feature the manipulation and modification of the human body. Placed within a white or black void, subjects are typically depicted in a manner of suffering or discomfort. Inspired by both direct and indirect personal experiences, his drawings attempt to showcase both the bitterness and sweetness of life’s influence on a person.
In addition to his pencil works, Jadon uses ink to compose abstract worlds; a symphony of 2-dimentional and 3-dimentional shapes. Grounded in physics, and a play on perspective, he utilitises light, shadows, and lines to portray chaos in his rational way. Always leaving something to be discovered, Jadon’s abstract expression is a product of his relaxed headspace.
